What You’ll Do as a Certified Home Health Aide:
- Providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, and assisting with meal preparation, feeding and hydration.
- Monitoring basic health status and reporting changes to the Community Director.
- Offering companionship, emotional support, and reassurance to the residents, and leading or assisting with engaging activities and social interactions.
- Performing light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a safe, comfortable home.
- Safely assisting with resident transfers and mobility as needed.
- Supporting a safe, nurturing environment that meets residents’ physical and emotional needs.
- Current New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) license required
- Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) preferred, but not required
- Previous experience in memory care, assisted living, or senior care preferred, but not required
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift and support up to 75 lbs for resident transfers and mobility assistance
